A Utah Knowltons milestone

Just a quick post to keep you all up-to-date on the Utah Knowltons book project. As I mentioned in my last post, I’m concentrating on those sections that are most directly related to my part of the family, so the Sidney Algernon/Benjamin Franklin Knowlton chapters.

Chapter 1 of the book is devoted to Sidney Algernon Knowlton and his family, or families I suppose you could say as he had two wives: Harriet Burnham and Charlotte Regina Artergren. I have finished transcribing that chapter, except for the table at the end that shows the children of the two marriages.

Chapter 2 is divided into eight sections. The sections deal with Sidney Algernon’s children and the one of first importance to me was the section dealing with Benjamin Franklin Knowlton and Rhoda Ann Jennetta Richards. I have finished transcribing that section, except, again, for the table at the end that shows Benjamin’s and Rhoda’s children.

I expect there are a number of typos in the text, but I think it might be fun and maybe useful to see what I’ve done so far. So, I’ll produce a PDF file and ask Dave to post it. When it’s posted to the server, we can give you a link so that you can view what I’ve done so far. If in the course of your review you spot any typos, or wonder why I have done some particular thing, or have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know.

I would be very interested in reading the information you have on Sidney Algernon Knowlton. I am one of his descendants through Harriet Burnham. I am trying to gather stories about my ancestors for my grandchildren. I would love to hear from you.

    Thanks!

Hi, my husband is a direct descendant of Howard Coray and Martha Jane Knowlton Coray. I would be interested in purchasing your book, when you have it finished, if I haven’t found another source. We lived across the street from Carma and Walt, Tommy and Danny back in the 1960’s in Farmington. Tommy and our son Calvin were very close friends.
